Fitted a pair to my S2 and one pushed home easy enough,the other had to be persuaded ( battered ) with a rubber hammer.Matching pair of links and no obvious damage to forks. Link bolts fitted. Is this normal(ish) or could/will this cause problems with handling ?

AS long as they are both equally aligned should be fine...
