Indicator question

Have just fitted LED indicators to my GP fed from battery and have a issue?
The indicators are rated 2 Watts each and have used a 2 pin relay/switch which works great . Indicators flash ok and are bright the only thing is that when they are off between on flash they are still slightly illuminated.
Should this be the case or if not how do I resolve ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Up date - tried direct feed to indicators and they work fine so switch is ok, must be relay giving a low feed when it should be off.
Can anybody recommend a suitable 2 relay that will work and a source of supply, guess what the relay I have is a eBay special.
The issue is that by staying partly lit it does not give best contrast of on/off to indicate clearly intended direction change.
My setup is 2 LED indicators per side of 2 Watts each and a single warning lamp 3 Watts (with a Diode in each feed from either side.

I would just add a normal bulb to the circuit if it works Ok its a flasher rating problem. If so you need to change the flasher
Had a look on Ebay for the one I used but its not on. Mine had a built in buzzer But if you do a search look for anything that doesn't say Resistor (built in etc),adjustable They rely on the load to determine the flash rate or you need to adjust it. Even some marked as for LEDs are the same you may have to use resistors to get them to work on LEDs. these all negate the reason we are using LED's and the resistors take the wattage back up to 20+ watts per lamp and we aint got the power to spare.
Look for LED and digital flasher units

Have tried an extra bulb but still the same situation the indicators flash but still are dimly lit when they should be in off cycle, bleeper works ok.
Lights work fine when fed direct from battery via direction switch.
Have emailed Supplier suggesting the flasher unit is faulty and asking for a replacement as it was sold as an LED Flasher Relay that appears not to fully break the circuit when it should be off.
Will be interested to receive Suppliers comments.

I suspect theres something in your wiring, ,likely in your reistor / diodes.

mines normal 3w bulbs using an led type relay and all worked beautifully, except the warning bulb. I worked out (with a lotta help from here) that i needed to do the diode thing to ensure leccy flowed correctly and didn't cross over. Once sorted that it was all good. It sounds like you are having similar issues but with the whole setup and not just the warning light.

Thanks all, just had another play with set-up and introduced a 5 watt bulb into circuit and all seems well,anything less then problem starts over. Ideally I now need to find a warning light in excess of 5 watts .
Anybody got a view on how I could introduce required load without having mega size warning light.

Your flasher needs a load as I expected. Maplins or eBay ask or search for say a 10w metal clad resistor. Or indicator resistors. Plenty of different sizes available. don't forget a resistor of whatever rating is the same as having a normal lamp on so you are not getting the full benefit of using LED's

Had a quick look on line at Maplins and can only see Resistors that are not "metal clad" must it be so clad?

You are looking for something like this. basically a resistor takes the place of your extra lamp, the voltage/wattage is used up and transferred as heat so these help dissipate the excess heat, they may have wirewound resistors but put them someplace out of the way of other wires, look on those like the bar of an electric fire, they can get more than warm

Thanks to all for help , installation now complete just waiting for delivery of Resistor to get loading correct for flasher requirements. Intend to install Resistor behind horn cast attached to frame/leg shield securing bolt well away from loom & cables with plenty of air space.
