fitting front dampers to my gp150

Postby kennystag » Thu Jul 16, 2015 9:44 pm

Hi All
I am fitting escort shockers to my GP150. Can anybody tell me what the distance between the 2 bolt holes on the shocker should be to fit to the forks
Cheers

have a look at Camb Lams site on welding brackets for dampeners. They tell you where to weld them on distance etc.

The top mount should be welded/bolted in the case of bolt on brackets, just below the fork stop indentation. If the fork link is at its lowest point and the shocker fully extended, then the top bracket should be attached 10mm lower than the fullest extent of the shocker, which gives the shocker enough travel.
