Postby Teglease » Thu Aug 20, 2015 7:27 am

Hi' I have a 1960 s2 Li 150 with s3 carb, the problem is it won't run with the filter rubber on( I have removed the filter), it runs fine without the rubber,
so why is it being starved of air ?

The engine craves more air because your carb settings are too rich?

Hi

I had a similar problem when I put a s3 18mm carb on my s2 150.

I gather that the neck of the s2 airbox is smaller than the s3
I removed the baffle from the airscoop and drilled out the airbox and it runs well now.

Not saying it will fix yours but it worked for me
