Does anyone on here know the correct size sleeving and wire sizes and terminal types for electrical work on a lambretta ? Also a good supplier for the above.

7mm PVC sleeving and 4mm bullet connectors.
But you can use 6mm for three wires and 8mm for 4 or 5 wires.

But these do sell 7mm sleeving in both grey and black. http://www.hilltop-products.co.uk but I'm not sure if they only sell in larger rolls. As I've only ever bought 100 meter lengths.

You could use a marine electrical supply shop for the connectors as some did use the same type of bullet connectors as on lambrettas.

I use to get mine from Farnell but they don't seem to have any at the moment. But 4mm bullet connectors uninsulated are available if you look.

Correct size or what was on originally is not the best (16 strands of 0.25)
The best I've found is 32/2 tinned copper wire (that's 32 strands at 0.2mm) available in all colours. The wire lasts for years longer than standard plain copper wire it resists corrosion much better and the 0.2mm strands are more flexible than the 0.25mm
The 32/2 also handles a higher amperage.

Hi Wesbro.
I used aes Auto electrical supplies.For brown and purple and power for battery etc I used 28/0.30 (28 strands)For back light ,indicators alarm etc I used 14/0.30.(14 strands)I have always assumed it is Japanese size bullet (3.99) The AES site explains the uses of different size wire.I used 10mm sleeving . I also used 16/0.20 thin wall cable on my second scoot for the indicators. I did not use the rear junction box prefer connector block mounted on a piece of rubber.

This is a wassell Dc with battery setup.,so not for purists
