I have just aquired a non chrome ring frame and keep picking bits up here and there at a leisurely pace. Having always had gp's it got me thinking. What does the chrome ring do? Is it just a bit of bling or did it have a purpose in life before it was cast into the Innocenti vaults

so, would the legshields off each fit each other

They have a visibly different shape to the spine at the back, but the difference was made up in the depth of the under headset casting, so I think it likely they would fit but you might have a mismatch with the under headset.
