:x :roll: Can enbody shed envy light on what might be going on,have just about finished the restoration of my 64 li 150 special.the electrics are playing up have fitted std bulbs but the running pilot light festoon bulb is 12v when starting the scooter I put the lights on the speedo bulb will blow I have fitted a earth wire on the bulb holder and also the head lights main and dim will not work rear light and horn do work eny help please. Tony

If its a 6v system,the speedo bulb should be 12v.

The Special dip switch is the same as a GP so only 4 wires to it. Orange gives it power then the red and blue become live as the rocker is moved. So check you have power on the orange key switch when set to the 3 click position. The speedo bulb becomes live with the rear light which if it isn't blowing as well is strange unless the speedo bulb holder is faulty inside or is the remade type with the screw.

Sidelight festoon and speedo bulb 12 volts I think. May be wrong.

Yep you're right. Don't see many riding round these days with their sidelight on !
