Still awaiting the arrival of the condenser. Must be coming by camel train. As soon as I've soldered it in I'll report back. Interestingly in this months scootering the 'essential' workshop tool was a compression tester and my 90psi would indeed to be within tolerances- just.
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I hope you get her sorted soon. When I checked my GP150, it was just over 90 PSI with a cold engine, i am happy with that and I am sure you are now happy with what you red.
Cheers

Well the new condenser turned up today along with some other bits, thanks Armandos! I've soldered it in place and flywheel back on. Bleeding nothing!!!!!. Then I put another plug in ...(believe me this was about the sixth one) it wasn't even a new plug and (drum roll) it fired right up and again and again which the little darling hasn't done for a while. The weather is definitely not test ride suitable but I'll wait till tomorrow and try again. I'm not giving up. Could it have been a bad batch of plugs all along? I do buy them in bulk. We'll see.

Happy days Paul,
Glad it is all working for you. Do you remember what I said about plugs. it amazes me how many new plugs that are fooked. I have had the same problem on my lammy, and with dozens of new duff plugs in cars.
Cheers

I was getting fed up killing and fouling NGK plugs but after thinking it out and on close examination of the 'dead' plugs I found that wear in the plug cap was causing a bit of high resistance on the plug contact giving misfires at low revs and making it hard to start from cold. Replaced the cap and cleaned the 'dead' plugs, NGK B8ECS, which we use in racing Jaguar engines and not had a misfire or a problem starting since using any of said plugs (touch wood)...........
