Kytroniks

Postby Jimmyjames » Sun Jul 13, 2014 10:18 am

Hi everyone
Would like some advice on my kytroniks problem. It starts ok and works well in low revs. But wont rev out, coughs and splutters in high revs. Timing set at 26 as per instructions. Could it be the coil thats not compatible? Any advice would be great. Hoping its not the stator its a BGM one.
Cheers

Any changes to the ignition is likely to require the carburation to be adjusted, it definitely won't be 'plug and play'

Well haven't
changed jets ,plug looks good ,ran really good before fitting. Feels like maybe a coil breakdown.

When I fitted one it needed a change of CDI ( now BGM) to get it to work. I set mine at 28 degs static and use the - 12 degree settings ie D,E,F because the scoot revs to 10 k. You may have to go thru all the settings to find the one to suit your motor and needs as retarding too soon will cause it to break up.

Ok here's the update. After changing the Cdi did not cure the problem so it was the stator plate  not happy as this was a bgm one so my conclusion is everything has to be perfect to perfect .
