Is there a spark when it cuts out ?

2 options, either fuel or electrics.

For the fuel, check the flow rate from the tank, clean filters (air and fuel), strip and clean carb and check float bowl is not sticking.
For the electrics....not much to really check it's more a question of replacing parts and seeing if the fault disappears. Options for potential faults are, the condenser, coil, HT Lead, points and the stator itself.......plus the option of the cut-out wire shorting (but this would be more intermittent).

Good luck :)

Try another plug. It would amaze you how many new plugs that are fooked. Check to see if you have petrol in the bowl. The other thing I would like to mention is, it could be a wire is breaking down when hot, and back to normal when cold. After you have done all the other checks. Take the flywheel off and check the stator wires and parts. Just some thoughts .
Good luck

What they said but check fuel cap admits air as your symptoms are similar to the vacuum that results with no breather to the tank.

Fuel cap blocked is a good call but I also favour the previous comment about the condenser failing when hot. They start working again when cool.
