Hi,
Just bought a Scootopia front damper kit for my Li series 2. While playing around with them I noticed that the bump resistance of one unit is much less than the other. However the rebound force is pretty similar. I'm a bit worried about there being a significant difference between the two dampers and this messing up the suspension.
Is this normal?
Cheers

I'm pretty certain it is the resistance of the pull on the damper and not the push that is important.

I agree with Chris that the damping is on the rebound & the primary function, but, all the same, I’d be looking for ‘balance’ & it would be something you would expect from new kit.
I would ask Scootopia what they think. They have a good reputation & I’m sure they will react accordingly.

My scootopia dampers have been on my scoot for nearly a year now, never noticed any such issues, maybe you've got a duff pair, give them a call, they're really sound blokes. Paul

Scootopia stuff is normally pretty good so I will give them a ring.

I happened to be at Urban Scooters in Birmingham and showed the dampers to Danny (the Vespa man). He said one is knackered.
Back to Scootopia now!
