Found the white wire from Stator to CDI broken which stopped the bike running. Have fitted brand new CDI and now the bike is running again. However having the wire broke from the Stator could this cause an underlying problem with the Stator going forward ?

The white to the stator is an earth. As long as the CDI is earthed and the frame is earthed to the engine, then you should be OK
Where is the wire broken?

Thanks Ross.
There was a join in the wire between stator and CDI, The wire had broken at the joiner.

Should be simple enough to repair, a little solder and some heatshrink, or even a terminal blog right wago connector would do it.
