GP kickstart problem

Evening all. I've got a GP150(SIL) which I've had for a few months. This morning I went to start it and for the first 2 kicks the kickstart returned to the starting position ok but when the engine started the kickstart would not return and was just hanging limp. I turned the engine off and was able to return the kickstart but as soon as the engine started again it wouldn't return. I'm not the most mechanically minded person so any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Hi Plymouthtaff ,
You are going to have to take of the side case to see what the problem is, no point in guessing, it could be the return spring, plunger, teeth on first gear. But the casing has to come off.
