Seen these & thinking end-plate??

Anyone using these? I'm thinking with flat thin washer & a dab ov Loctite??

Or are they too thick & the chain would catch ?

What's wrong with the standard nut and spring washer?

I used to think that this would be good idea when I first started on lambretta motors having hearing tales of end plates coming loose. Having then stripped a few (2) engines that had used nyloc on end plate, some studs were drawn out, which then defeats the idea of studs. It did prove that you can get them in without fouling moving parts.

Similarly the use of high tensile bolts, again I toyed with idea but again dismissed it in favour of the original idea.

Personally I would stick with good quality studs, nuts and washers tightened in the correct sequence to the correct torque.
I've never had one come loose using the traditional method.

i dont think the problem is nuts coming off studs but studs pulling out hence the damage to the casing threads. i threadlock them in and have even used exhaust studs for extra thread
