Hi,
I have put a new kickstart pedal on my series 2 but it looks a bit too low in that the pedal rubber is a good 1.5 inches below the foot board. There is also a big gap between the pedal endstop extension and the bumpstop on the bottom of engine casing. I looks like the kickstart is one spline out but when I try to fit it one spline higher, it hits the bump stop and will not fit. I could fiddle it and rotate the spline clockwise when fitting the kickstart pedal so that it ends up higher but is this OK to do?
I guess there must a trick here!
Cheers.

You have to fit the pedal 1 spline higher, just fit the pedal on the splines and press the kickstart down and at the same time push the pedal onto the splines.
