I have a round electronic junction box. Can you ignore the colour coding and use this box to just link two wires together. Are all pairs of colour holes separated from each other ? I have a non battery varitronic ignition fitted using a electronic Italian casa wire loom with just the two brown and green wires running into HT coil , regulator area . Can damage be done to electronic components if incorrectly wired on these kits ? Should both HT coil and regulator be earthed , connecting to frame and engine ? Thanks

You can use the junction box but why bother? The stator yellow/white is the ac power out to the reg terminal which also connects to your loom brown. Red/black is the ignition which connects to the loom green at the cdi and stator blue is to earth with the cdi and reg earths. These kits need a good earth to work correctly and last so also link the frame and engine using a buzzer on a multimeter to check everythings earthed. If you decide to use the junction box you either need an electronic one or piggy back your loom and a wire out to the reg in the brown terminals and connect the loom green and red/black into the green terminals with another piggyback to the cdi.

Which points would I need to attach all additional earth wires, starting from the flywheel cowling ? My varitronic kit is the ac non battery, first version. I have a three point connection original type copper version earth lead, is this ok to use ? Thanks
