Series 3 Exhaust / Kickstart Clash

Rebuilding a Series 3 Li 125 with Mugello kit and Ancillotti exhaust. I've found that when the stand is raised, the right hand leg won't pass the outside seam of the silencer.

The stand won't move any further to the right as its position is defined by the bolt holes in the running board supports. The exhaust position is defined by its fixing brackets onto the side casing studs.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so can you suggest a cause and remedy, other than taking a big hammer to the silencer?!
