Rear wheel bearing and retaining plate problems

Postby lam1962brettagg » Sun Apr 29, 2018 8:25 am

Hi all
Hoping somebody can shed some light on this problem fitted a Casa Lambretta new rear hub bearing yesterday(li s3) went to fit the retaining plate and found that the four Studs had splayed outwards slightly???
I heated the cases before fitting the bearing all seemed to be ok now I find that the layshaft won't fully seat either there is about half centimetre space on the inside of the gearbox between the end of the layshaft and the inner race of the bearing.
Anyone else had a similar problem would be grateful for any input.

Try this for your splayed studs

Also this for taking up the slack on the layshaft
