Went to start it yesterday no luck. Looked at it today no spark. Eliminated ignition switch. Nothing coming out of stator green wire. Checked points opening and closing at right times. Just getting ready to take off flywheel. For some reason decided to read the bible (stickys) one sentence said on early TVs engine is earthed through brake peddle if brake light goes engine cuts out. Oh well I'll have a look. Took out bulb checked it all ok. Put it back together kicked it over big blue spark.
Problem now is not having fixed anything is it going to stop again.

Hi, I had similar problem with my TV2, intermittent spark due to bad connection on HT lead, stripped back the insulation & it went ok, possibly due to high resistance connection? hope this helps, regards Paul.

Thanks, my problem seamed to cure itself by fiddling with the rear bulb.
