Have you informed Cam Lam about the outcome?
It would be interesting to hear their thoughts on this.If your Varitronic was new from them,surely they should be sorting it out,not down to you to buy another regulator,especially another make???

Anyone using one of these, a mate is fitting one but no wiring diagram, any info on what goes where would help.

Looking at the pic, far left terminal 1 is loom and stator power in, then 2 earth terminal. Then 3 battery feed in from stator and last one 4 is feed out to battery.

cheers wack, yeah thats what I have just found on a LD set up using this regulator.

If AC do we still use the red/white to the 3rd spade but leave 4 blank.

It's up to you, 4 th is feed out to a battery but you could just fold back the red/ white and tape up.
