had that feeling with s1s on my vespa hence with that i went for conti 365 which is why i ask the question, your more seasoned lammy riders and your experince pays dividends

I've got S1's on one scooter and although a decent all round tyre there are much better around nowadays, I find they can be a bit skittish in the wet.

On my all weather scooter I've got Schwalbe Powertracks and like the other Schwalbes I've had before them are fantastic in all weathers. I'm fortunate to not have suffered from any delamination but I know too many others that have with Schwalbe and will move to another make when these are done, but having said that I haven't actually heard of any issues with the Powertracks, just the Weathermans and Racemans

Hearing what others have said about Mitchelin S1 I'd never buy them again for an all weather tyre . Although its likely to take years to wear out the three that I have now
I think I read a couple of good reviews somewhere and thought the tread pattern looked sexy so I bought them .

I have only had two rides in the wet with them and on both occasions they were so slippy that I felt distinctly unsafe and I can confirm that they have a strong tendancy to 'white line' .
In the dry I have no complaints whatsoever and they seem to grip really well allowing me to lean the scoot to quite surprising angles of lean when a sharp bend has caught me ou once or twice.

I'd definitely recommend them for predominantly dry weather riding

been seeing some good reports on the heidenau k61 seems good all round tyre, anybody running these have any thoughts on what there like

I run K61 Heidenau on a tuned TS1 on SIP rims and they are outstanding in the dry.In the wet they are surprisingly good, I have never had any reason to doubt them whatever the conditions.

I use the k58 and k47 on all my scoots now. They don't last forever but they are grippy and not ridiculously expensive. They are 3ply sturdy sidewalls so I'd guess keep their shape better. I am not saying they are the best thing since sliced bread, but I like them

I love S1s in all weather except snow.
Had city grip winter tyres on last year and while they were excellent in the slush and snow I felt they would suddenly lose grip in the wet, I've found the S1gives a bit of warning by sliding slightly before letting go completely. The city grip felt like it was all or nothing.

well ordered 2 k61's 35 each inc postage so will get em sorted next week adn give em a spin and see how they fair thanks for all input
