Having an issue with my headlight- every now and then I loose "dip" .It has happened a few times- I know what the issue is (its not bulb blown, earthing out, faulty switch, wire fell out etc etc), it s the prong at the rear basically pulls back from the bulb over time so looses contact with the bulb leaving me only high beam. Its happened about 4 times so far this year and is begining to get on my tits now . Had to bend the prong forward yesterday after I lost dip, again. The bulb holder is an original CEV holder so to be fair (like me :P ) its 50+ years old and things start to go wrong!
I'm happy enough with the lights,I have been tempted with a Jockeys Boxenstop conversion but at 70 odd quid..............., but like I say I'm happy enough with my lights.I have a few years ago bought a repro CEV holder of Indian origin and it was crap. Are the Scootopia series 3 CEV repro holder any good?

Depending on how big the gap is when the prong looses contact with the bulb I would try adding a little solder onto the prong where it makes contact with the bulb.

The Scootopia headlights are probably the best you'll get.
