Kickstart rubbers too big

Folks, I've tried 2 kickstart rubbers, both decribed as being for series 2, but both are way too big for my pedal. About 8 to 10mm too big, both in the port/starboard axis and forward/aft.

I have the original kick start and they are just as bad on tbe old as they are on the new one.

Ideally I want one about 38mm (internally) in both dimensions.

Anyone know of one? I thought maybe an LD one might be better, but I'd rather stick with what's supposed to be there.

If it is a Spanish series 2 kick start they maybe different. I might be barking up the wrong tree, check with Buzz.

Had a similar issue to be honest

Tried to fill it with silicone and that didnt last.

I wrapped the pedal part with non slip tape multiple times (the gritty type you put on edge of steps - was on offer from Alidi as I recall) and then used Gorilla glue to bond the rubber on. Never moved since.

I’ve got a grey one that is internally 36mm front to back and 48mm side to side. Far too small for my Spanish S2. If it’s any use pm me your address and it’s yours.

I always find the scooter restorations kickstart pedal rubber to be a perfect fit.

Hope this helps

I don't think it's necessarily a good or bad rubber. One of the ones I have is from buzzsolomoto, and the other is the same size. On my last build (a series 3) the one i got from buzzsolomoto was a perfect fit. So I think there are different sized pedals which obviously need different sized rubbers.

Anyway, a very kind man called Tony Hart has sent me one that was too small for his.
