Apologies if this has been answered but I'm having a slight problem with my kickstart. It failed last year and a local mechanic replaced it for me. All has been great but recently I've noticed that if the scooter is leaning to one side the kickstart will not engage. I notice it most when starting it off the stand and straddling it. I think because I'm leaning slightly to one side when I do this.
If I put the scooter on the centre stand it engages fine. Any ideas what it might be?
As I'm a newbie I'm not that sure what I would be looking at if I started investigating myself!

Sounds like you need a new kickstart piston.
I always advise against kicking when leaned too far over as you can place strain on other parts with excessive kickstart shaft movement.
