I have just put a 175 unit into my Li 150 which is registered as a 125 and I am about to take her for an MOT. I know this happens all the time but it is my first time and I am a little worried about tripping myself up. I have been asked to bring Log book and last MOT certificate. Any pointers?

in my experience, they don't check the capacity and will just issue the MOT based on the information available, ie what they can see on the scooter from the outside..

you can catch up wit the DVLA afterwards and correct the info..

however, not having the correct capacity registered with the DVLA could be considered illegal, and probably worse if your insurers have the wrong capacity as it may render your insurance void.

Take the previous MOT if you have it, they will go with that.

The most they will check is the frame number, this ensures that you are not MOT-ing someone elses bike.

As he says,
Frame and reg: number off the scooter, NOT previous paperwork.

And the only time the cc affects an MOT on a scooter, is 49cc.
Anything over 49cc has a different test on certain parts.
