Hi, apologies if has been covered before but i'm needing guidance. I bought a "project" scoot which is a series 3 150 frame, (1963) but has a series 2 engine which i am currently rebuilding. The electrics are my worry. It has a Ducati flywheel and points set up.
1. Does it need a rectifier?
2. What wiring issues am i likely to come across?

How many magnets are there inside the flywheel? How many coils on the stator plate? What colour are the wires coming from the stator?

This is all useful information, before a grown-up thinks-up an answer for you.

4 magnets, 2 coils, black, green and brown if my poor 67 year old eyes are seeing correctly.
