Hi All,
Can anybody tell me how to work out if my ts1 is a 240 which is what I brought it as or if it's a 225.
I've just taken it apart and changing to a mugello but I really want to know what it is...

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to find out the stroke of the crank, presuming its a 6omm stroke x 70mm bore that gives you 230cc,

58x70mm=223cc

60x71=237cc

It could also be a bored barrel or an even longer stroke crank (e.g. 62mm). It is quite common to 'round up' capacity, even amongst manufacturers (e.g. Vespa GTS300 = 278cc)

You need to take the head off, measure the bore diameter with verniers and measure the distance moved by the piston in mm (stroke) and use a calculator such as http://performancetrends.com/Calculators/Engine-Displacement/Engine-Displacement.php

My guessing is it's most likely a TS1 with a 60mm stroke crank and the capacity (230.91cc) has been rounded-up to the next whole number which is pretty routine and nothing to be concerned about. I expect the seller has an 8-inch cock as well, or at least that's what he tells the ladies...

Does it have a packer plate? If not more than likely a standard 225.

It could still be a standard 225 even if it has a packer. You still need a 3mm packer if you have a 110 rod on a 57 stroke.
