repairing a mates li150 special ...hes only had 3 months ...i was sorting a leaky fuel tap and happened to grab rear wheel ...the movement in was horrendous
so hes asked me to sort
bit of horror story when i stripped it................... case cover had already had a square patch/repair at crank end on the outside
inside the cush drive was fully out at the top of the ramp and is machining 2 nice grooves thro the cover!
chain top slipper[looks like a mb copy] has wore away at one end thro the mounting bolt head as well and started damaging chain
washer missing under needle roller at plate end .....o ring missing off layshaft.......play in that end
have bought new bearings etc ...does anyone know what dia the lay shaft should be at the plate end as it feels sloppy in new bearing[have got new race for this just incase].....inner clutch basket /bell in a bad way first gear kickstart teeth in a bad way
no circlip onthe kickstart ..so alot of wear on this area
oil was like silver paste on draining
so got a bit of a job!

Is it one of them Indian imports as that sounds terrible and the sort of Delhi backstreet fixes they do over there.

With all that damage wouldn't it be cost effective to source perhaps another engine, I paid £225 for my Ser 3 Li engine off ebay and apart from needing a few essentials as it was missing a head/stator/flywheel and I changed the gaskets with an oil change has turned out perfectly serviceable.
