Rear Shocker slight leak re MOT

Postby St George » Tue Feb 19, 2019 5:25 pm

Will moisture around the chrome shaft fail the MOT Test or will it be an advisory, thanks.

As long as it's not oil you should be ok. Usually get that on my Bandit as it seldom gets used over winter and as luck would have it MOT is due.

My tester just wipes it off.

Why would they remove the sidepanel to see this?
my MOT tester has never removed a sidepanel.

Engine mountings, Rear suspension and Rear wheel assembly are all part of the MOT check. A lot easier to do with the panels off.

My mot-er never removes my side panels as long as you take your v5 along for the frame number mind you this is why it pays to use the same mot station so they get to know you
