Having a look through my old saved pics on the PC I found this gem.
It was on eBay many moons a go and looking as if it was an 80’s survivor I saved the pics.
Then today I noticed the notches in the forks, is it a weight saving race mid?

I think it's a fork weakening technique.

Looks pretty effective too.

Possibly to show off painted or chromed springs?
