Hi guys, I'm after some advice please. Im helping out on a friend's rb engine with an af clutch in. The scoot is a GP but suffers from poor kick start engagement, so we're thinking of using LI components to solve the problem. My query is will the cassette clutch work with this kind of set up? Area in question I guess is from the bronze bush to the LI cam to compress the unit. Thanks.

Af clutches are compatible with both GP and LI/SX Type side casings, just state your requirement when ordering.

Thanks for that, it's already in and in use with a G.P side case so it's go ahead with collecting the necessary LI/SX/TV parts and having a kick start that bites near the top of the stroke. Thanks again.

You can modify the GP side case to accept the ramp by drilling and tapping the three holes and retain the GP clutch bush and centre. Then you just cut the loop off the back of the endplate, it is quite soft.

Ive cured this problem on gp side case in past by grinding the ramp on gp endplate loop so the kick start engages sooner
