its not my strong point !

S2 using GP/SX key/ignition switch, simple electronic harness (green/brown/black at headset), a standard LI switch and a standard S2 headset junction box

everything working except side light and rear (when switched to side light) rear works fine on main beam

Ignition switch has
pink to earth
double brown connected to junction and horn
yellow not connected normally side light when switch used in gp/sx so assume wont be used
black connected to junction box
blue not connected normally headlight when switch used in gp/sx so assume wont be used
green connected to junction box
orange not connected ????? normally connects to orange from light switch

Harness
green connected to junction box with ignition green
black connected to junction box with black from ignition switch
brown connected to junction box with brown from ignition switch
no grey in this harness

Light switch
brown connected to browns in junction box
black connected to blacks in junction box
purple not sure where to connect ?????? to go into the harness ? On a standard S2 wiring harness this would goes into the junction box then on to regulator
yellow to side light
red to head light
blue to headlight

Bulb holder
Two connections to main beam - Red and blue from switch
One connection to side light - yellow from switch
One connection - separate earth (to handlebar)

frame/engine all earthed

tried loads or combinations but this is the best I got - the orange from ignition and purple from light switch must be the key to it

had a few belts making me danced like jim dale in carry on doctor so give up back on it tomorrow any help appreciated.

Blimey how much volts you got running thru to make you dance about?

Would a battery trickle charger be enough to power it? Then again if you are getting quite a high shock maybe something isn't being rectified and you are getting HT volts in the system.

Just checked the current MOT regs and you dont need a side light

Must have at least one headlamp which illuminates when selected on:
(i) dipped beam
(ii) main beam

Happy days

That the wiring done !!!!
