Finding endplate to suit my spanish casing

Hello, I have a spanish engine casing bare without an endplate. I have tried 2 italian endplates but they don't seem to fit very well at all on to the studs. This is going to be my first full engine rebuild so I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what the solution could be. Is it a case of perhaps visiting a dealer who may have a pile and going through them until one fits on? Also is it a case of making sure it would be a good fit with the layshaft/gear cluster I want to use?

Cheers Martin.

Keep an eye on fleabay, the Spanish ones come up from time to time, they're a slightly different shape / style

Or try one of the Spanish specialists, buzzsolomoto or perry at totally scooters

For me it is better (if you can),
to try as many endplates as possible to find one that fits.
Ideally you could borrow a few or visit someone that has many.
They might look the same but they are so different ;)
