Is the throttle pulley on a Jet 200 different to Italian scooter ones. Just fitted a new one to the Jet but the stop on the pulley misses the stop on the handlebar casting. The pulley will not go any further towards the support bush so I wondered it they were different on Spanish machines or is it the pulley that's wrong.

not sure if the stop position is any different - but know that the 1st Jets had aliminium or alloy pullys rather than brass.
how much is it missing the "stop" by ? I am assuming that the purchase of a new pully isnt due to a replacment of a worn part ? If it is how do the old & new pullys compare ?

That explains why the gear change pulley is aluminium. So the original throttle one would be the same instead of a 'modified' brass one.
