Clutch sprocket and bearing

Postby clintcd » Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:35 am

I am replacing my clutch on a 1964 Li150 but I noticed that the clutch sprocket has some wobble when I tried to measure the height.
It is a 46 tooth sprocket but it has a bushing and not bearings. Can this be correct.

There's a lot of cr@p being made & unless components are of OEM, then you can virtually guarantee there will be issues. If even well respected main dealers are prepared to sell Rolon chain, for example, do they have your best interests @ heart?

In any case, if the clutch journals are hardened to take needle roller bearings, they are always the first choice, even though their function is to only be a rolling element when the clutch is disengaged. Again, they should be good quality, most likely best sourced from a Power Transmission Stockists, preferably of European or Japanese manufacture such as Nadella etc.
