I'm looking for some advice regarding the sidelight Wiring on my jet.
I've got a jockeys headlight unit and using the original block switch.
There is only 3 swich position that seem possible. On/off, on/high beam, on/low beam.
Any suggestions on how I can get the side light working correctly?

There is a separate side light feed on the Jockeys unit City light i think (Brown) they call it that will just feed into your normal side light feed

No ignition switch. Just a kill button.
Simply have the above the options. So, it's either on/off, with hi/low beam.
My dad suggested that servetas intended that sidelights were in all the time. But not sure if that is correct while headlight is on? What's the mot stance on this.

My lynx hasn't got one and has no facility for a side light. Have you got the big square switches and was or is the ignition by the seat? As for mot never had a problem

I did have switch by the seat but replaced with a kill switch. I have one big block switch as per the above configuration.
So you have no sidelight or the sidelight on permenantly?

Yes that's about the size of it. late Serveta electrics are a bit mix and match but sounds like you've got one with no pilot light. Mine hasn't even got a place in the lens to put a bulb. It's never ever been mentioned at an mot in all the years I've owed it. If you want a day time running light just connect it to the power feed coming from your loom
