Interesting in that it takes the AC and converts it to DC for the LED.

They look great . I’ve emailed to see if they do a GP version.

The video is cautious in that it does not demonstrate the dip and high beam angle difference.
It doesn't look like the bulb is focussed in any way.
If it is??????? then it may well be focused for continental use making it useless over here.

I get most of my LED bulbs from here. I have a 12v one fitted to my Jockeys headlamp. They are very helpful if you phone for advice. scroll through the pages as all motorcycle bulbs are not in order.

I understand the concerns about the cut off between main & dip, but the amount of light that LED's can deliver has made me buy into the concept of adapting fan cooled LED H4 bulbs. When I say "buy into" that means I spotted a pair in a charity shop for less than a fiver. Somebody must have bought the wrong set for their car

The pair I have came with an adaptor piece that more or less matches the diameter of a SIII lamp shell, so matching positioning notches have been carefully filed into the shell which will not affect the ability to revert to the OEM set-up.

The adaptor pieces already have an aperture incorporated on the edge to suit the festoon 'parking' lighting if I get around to fitting that too.

As I always run 12v DC for the security of having light in the event of a stalled/failed engine, there is no necessity for additional equipment.

The LED's appear to be insensitive to polarity, though the fan is affected as it changes direction.

When I fit this I will report back. What will be required is a means of replacing the standard SIII headlight junction box but I think that SII's may have had such a feature

Initial tests off the bike really are impressive by the amount of light, though I really am keeping in mind that there may be fine tuning to do concerning focus & scatter. Dipping left or to the right is not generally controlled via bulbs, but by the reflectors, typically with cars. Lambretta never produced variants for LH or RH drive as far as I am aware.......

The thing is, before somebody mentions HID conversions, I know that they are brilliant. Good Luck to anybody that fits them & gets away with it as they increase safety IMHO. However, if I were to use them, with my luck, I'd get busted! Who else (other than me) has been stopped by the police whilst carrying one of their own frames on their back from one house to another? Or given two "producers" within eight miles on the same journey in the 70's? Or questioned by the squad in a 'plain clothes Escort' whilst pushing a scoot uphill in broad daylight after it had whiskered a plug?

(They asked me to push it back down onto a car park whilst they checked everything out. I said "You are welcome to push it down, & you can push the f*ckin' thing back up again, because I am completely legal!" They left with red faces but I wouldn't have risked my choice remarks during darkness)

I can actually beat that by a margin, the record was 5 times in one evening on a round trip from Ipswich to Felixstowe, 9 miles each way

RE Knowleges OP, I have seen these advertized on FB and Im pretty sure the kit included the reflector, thats one VERY expensive lamp otherwise. HID's were mentioned and I have had these fitted to both my scooters for years BUT they only provide a good headlight beam if used with a modern clear lens and reflector such as the Jocky's offering. The reeded glass in the standard headlights scatters the light all over the place. I bought a couple of cheap H6 LED lamps off ebay recently which also have the tiny fans built in, I am intending trying them in a pair of spots at some poit but I'd be concerned on how well they will stand up to the vibration within a Lambretta headset
