Been chasing what I thought was an air leak on the bike ; revs all over the place etc
After all the usual checks, including removing top end, new gaskets all round etc I happened to look in my tank and found all sorts of shite in it... See my tank cleaning thread.
Chucked in a standard (clean) tank today and hey presto all good - ticking over perfect, revs settling down to idle, test run and running great.
So on with tank cleaning.....

I take it your caarb filter was blocked too?

Yep and pilot jet, Cleaned carb out after found the crap in the tank.
