Hello all.
It seems I am weak

!
Do you have any tips on fitting the 'mighty' strong spring to the rear brake pedal, please?
Many thanks. H.

Use an exhaust spring puller.

I also use a cable tie. In fact, the cable tie got trapped under the spring, and it is still there. It will be useful if I ever take it off again.
Just to clarify, the small hook at the curly end of the spring goes on first, then get the pedal over the pivot and use the cable tie, in the shape of a loop, to pull the other hook on the spring over the underside of the pedal.
It works for me but the whole pedal is a faff. I altered my pedal so the the foot pad could be removed, which makes the whole operation so much easier, especially if you haven’t yet fitted the legshields.
Good luck

I’ve got a Jet which has a round section foot brake pedal (instead of being flat section). The part that goes on the spigot is longer too. The only way to get it on is to drop it through the legshields before fitting them.
