IMHO it's worth restoring an original or period correct accessory seat.
Based on my own experience doing several it's cheap to have a frame blasted and powder coated. Last one I had done cost me $40 and that's at exorbitant New York City prices!
RLC sell springs (
flat|
round) and hooks (
long|
short) for most sprung seat types. Tutto, Casa and BGM make great quality covers, all which I believe are sourced from
Trezzi, and Andy Nixon will fill any gaps. AFAIK he is the only other person apart from Trezzi that makes stitched rubber base seat covers. Not cheap, but a cheap seat (or seat cover) completely ruins a scooter.
