It is definitely a two person job and half the battle is getting the tags lined up with the panel holes.

Then, I get an assistant to hold a wrapped 7 pound hammer head against the badge face. The pin then peens over nicely using a punch ( with a degree of confidence )and doesn't rattle loose over time.
If the pins are too long, then they will likely just bend over when you try to peen them.
