Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

Just removed my electronic stator and it looks to be a SIL one. A couple of posts have suggested that its worth protecting the windings on SIL stators. I have seen a couple of pictures with what looks to be potting compound added where the wires exit the windings. Is potting compound suitable or is there a better solution ?
Any advice appreciated cheers.

You can buy Coil Laquer which is thin enough to infiltrate the coil windings and reduce the chance of the coil insulating coating wearing with vibration. As mentioned, nail varnish would probably work too. As for the connections, Araldite is what you need, put a dollop an all the joints and also use to 'anchor' any wires to stop them vibrating
