Hi can anyone let me know or have I been unlucky, all but one of my series 3 SIP speedo's have really bad condensation, 2 that have now stopped working well if at all, I have 2 that fit series 1/2 they have never had this problem ,if this is a common problem SIP need to deal with it as the speedos are not cheap and should at least be water tight

Had exactly the same problem on a couple so stopped using them. Fitted a Chinese made GPS speedo I bought from ebay recently, it's spot on and at £55 a lot less to lose if it stops working

Same problem
2 x s3 SIP speedos
Both have v bad condensation
Took out my GP last week - it’s been in the dry shed for 2 months at least
Fogged up within 10 mins and it wasn’t even raining .
Thinking about sealing it with mastic but I might end up sealing the moisture inside !!!
Why not contact SIP and see what they say ?

Hi, i have also tried to seal them up and that doesn't seem to work I can't work out where the moisture is getting in. I think I will contact SIP and see what they have to say,I have seen casa is doing standard style speedo I may have a go with that on my GP

If you only want a standard type speedo for your GP you could also try Cambridge Lambretta. I purchased one for my Li 150 Special and it's the only one I have tried that actually works properly and is accurate.

I have had loads of different standard speedos including from Cambridge Lambretta and after a few thousand miles the speedo needle starts to look like a rev counter, this is the reason I went onto using SIP speedos as they were very good on my series 1&2I have just ordered a casa one and I hope that's good as most Casa parts are a good quality
