I’m looking a basic electronic kit for a friend’s standard LI150. But the nearest to basic is the Scootopia Variable one. Would a variable version not be overkill for standard?
There doesn’t seem to be much else apart from the SIP Vape.

Thanks.
Yes, I hear it is, but was wondering whether it was necessary for a standard set up. There doesn’t seem to be anything else.

AF still sell kits and individual Stators and mid weight electronic flywheels. I have used one of their Elemec flywheels on my TS1 for 12 years without issue. I can’t vouch for their Stators but you could buy a bgm one separately, if you wanted.

I have just put a Scootopia one on a standard LI150, improved the starting and lights no end. Mate was very happy.

Same here, his stators are fantastic quality with very good lighting output and as Storkfoot says, AF sell good mid weight flywheels. I've also used a couple of BGM stators which have never let me down.

Not sure why you would need an all singing / dancing set up for a std LI150
A standard electronic stator / flywheel combination would be sufficent and probably achiveable for under £150 inc regulator & cdi. Also has the benefit of having easy access to spares if required.
