Why is it so difficult?
I have a new Tameni GP crankshaft and a flywheel nut that won't fit.
I have an LI nut that fits the thread but it is the incorrect nut to use.
Any recomends before I start my nut collection?

Surely there is something wrong with the gp nut as they are both the same thread?

The nut is really tight on the LI crank but will not go on the GP at all.

Unfortunately I am no expert but had a look on Google. There does appear to be variations on the flywheel nut between LI/SX and GPs although I don't know what that difference is. I have never played around with a Li engine so have no flywheel nuts to compare. Have a look at this link

The shoulder depth is different but the thread is the same.

Where the nut from is it new or original ?

It will not go on the new GP crankshaft without considerable force which is something I am not willing to try on brand new crankshaft.
There sems to be lots of nuts available ranging from a £1.00 to £10.00 all of varying quality.
I guess I will have to buy one from someone like BGM and hope the money is well spent.

Never had a problem with 1.50£ from AF... In fact just fitted one Saturday on a SIL webs crank.2 spares in stock.

Mind the BGM is flash coated black and logo printed so it will out perform the AF one....

Thanks. I should have known that but didn't

All sorted now. Bought one from MB Dev along with some other stuff. Threaded on no problem what so ever.

Could start a new thread about cylinder studs but I do not want to become unpopular.
