GP Electric gremlins

Looking for some guidance… took my GP out for a 50 mile spin on Saturday, no issues, one of those perfect rides.

Tonight, thought I’d take a look at the plug to check colour before I set off for Lincoln later this week - all good, happy with colour. Put it back together, kick it over, starts on second kick but : no lights and SIP speedo not illuminated/working either.

RB252 with Denso W24ES-R plug

I’ve locked the garage for tonight but will look again in the morning. Could it be something as simple as not putting the Plug Cap back on properly or if not, would welcome any ideas.
Thanks!

Sounds like a wire might have come out or broken

remember that stator plates generally only have 2 circuits. the lighting side and the ignition side and neither affects either of the other. changing a plug should not affect the lighting and a bulb being out should not affect the spark. it seems like you have dislodged a wire somewhere.

Thanks all. No obvious wires loose anywhere.

Edit: Just going to open the headset and have a look

All good now. Regulator whacky, now replaced by the fine folk at Disco Dez’s.

* What a place Disco Dez has!! My first visit - just a brilliant (and huge) collection of machines there and really helpful staff. Really appreciated!
