Li switch and indicators

I have an Indian GP with lights switched on with the key, and dip on an Li style switch on the handle bar. This leaves the second switch, which was for turning on the lights free. Or so I thought. Ive connected the indicator feeds to this switch, but when i power things up, the lights come on front and rear flashing with the indicators.It seems like the 2 switches in the housing are connected, but I cant see any connections anywhere. Any body used this method before or have any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

With a lot of the Indian made LI style switches what would be the on-off on Italian switches is for indicators so the wires don't necessarily correspond. Have a look at the wiring diagrams for Indian GPs in Sticky's book.
