Can anyone recommend a good strong rear hub.
I was going to buy a scootopia version but dealer states current version won’t
work with sip rims.

I have one ready to go for paint. I wasn't aware they won't fit sip rims. Had the Mk 1 and it did

Even the Scootopia rear hubs are warped from new as I found out ffs
Very hard these days to find a good un so I can’t recommend any.

I know they are expensive but are the octopus hubs any truer and rounder

Uni here. I had a hub that wouldn't accept any rims from one supplier.

The Octopus hub has a splined drive rather than the more conventional taper lock drive. Consequently, they do run true and concentric without having to apply any fettling to get them running true, but you will need the layshaft and hub nut that go with it if going down this deep pocket route.

I don't suppose the unique layshaft takes away gearbox choice.?

Ended up buying a uni hub that sip rims sit correctly on.
