Ser 3 Scootopia Exhaust

Just bought the above, but it has a horizontal fixing plate that should bolt to underside of the gearbox, but I have nothing to fix it to, do I leave it or cut it off ?

I think you can drill the hole and tap it with the risk of breaking through and creating a handy, but unwanted, auxiliary oil drain hole, or do as I did and chop the bracket off the exhaust

thanks, i'll cut the bracket off , easier and safer solution .....

I’d just leave it on. It won’t do any harm and would be useful if the exhaust later gets fitted to another casing.
