Scootopia Carb Float Problems????

Has anyone had any issues with the Scootopia Carb Float, trying to rule things out at the moment.

Fitted new rings in a GP150 (running fine prior but), only difference slightly thinner head gasket was fitted (yes i checked the squish), on first outing after around 20 miles after filling up she stalled after a yard or too, could see petrol pissing out of carb, had that before with a previous float sticking a few years back, new petrol pipe (not used this type before) had kinked so replaced that with another out of tool box, likewise i had a Scootopia ethanol resistant float with me & fitted that, all now good.

However after running rings in opened her up & she nipped up this happened again on another outing after opening up, each occasion she started first kick, i normally turn petrol off shortly befor ignition if starting her again soon after as many will be aware if not the carb can flood from the spit back in a GP air hose as it has no drain as the LI//TV/SX ones did. As she started first kick after each nipping up i am now think fuel issues due to the Scootopia float & wondered if anyone else has had any problems, will check fuel flow tomorrow from tap i did when the tap was fitted some years back & right amount coming through before i start taking the top end off to see if owt amiss.

Just to add the GP is a standard set up & the carb is genuine dellorto (not Scootopia) but now fitted as mentiond with a Scootopia float.

I've had a few issues with the scootopia float kit - problems with the float and needle sticking - pissing fuel out of the overflow and flooding the engine. In the end I used a float bowl from a Jettex carb ( Indians must be used to shite fuel) and a red tipped needle. A lot better but still had the odd issue so replaced the carb body ( 20mm Dellorto) and so far so good. Such a bloody faff! hope this is some help - all the best Paul.

Thanks for reply, had no issues with nipping up previously, my suspicions are the Scootopia float & petrol starvation, the petrol pissing out previously only happened once with an original Dellorto float & has happened again prior to fitting Scootopia one, ethanol been the float 'swelling' culprate, ethanol has nothing to do with protecting the planet & all the 'climate fraud' but everything to do with destroying engines. Hoping it is just the float & will try another original one after checking fuel flow & see what happens.
